Back in April, I brought in a downhill ski pole that needed a new tip. I already had been turned away from Hoigaard's ("You need to take it to a Swix dealer") and REI ("We don't repair poles").

The fellas in Joe's ski shop had a replacement tip in stock, fixed the pole in 20 minutes, and wouldn't take any money for labor. That kind of service underscores the value of a good, local ski shop. I spent less than $10 for a service no other shop in town would even bother with.
