Great location, but the hotel is in desperate need...

Great location, but the hotel is in desperate need of a refurb. The carpet is old and spongy, the shower had a debilitating lack of pressure and the switch between bath tap and shower head didn't divert all of the pressure to the shower head which worsened the issue. The age of the hotel also led to a musky smell.

I'd say it is good for some 40s nostalgia, and the restaurant downstairs was popular and sounded like it had a good environment, this review relates to the room conditions only.

The wifi was the worst I've experienced; getting 1mps when working, it dropped often. Improved towards the back end of our stay, but Starbucks around the corber was my go to
