First impressions could be nice. My wife is a diabetic with extensive conditions. We have been to several hospitals on her behalf for extended stays. The Andalusia Hospital was not only ill prepared to handle her condition when she was having a glucose low and her body was in the early stages of shutting down, but they immediately upon taking her back, which took 18 mins while gasping for air literally, cut her new shirt off even after we told them why she was short on air (diabetic ketoacidosis) and they did not listen at all, refused to listen, cut her shirt off even when she was able and we offered to take it off, then they refused to replace it! They had the night Doctor to come see her and he said he was not able to help and he was calling another doctor, then after 20 more minutes we were informed that yes Andalusia Hospital was UNABLE to treat this condition, a common diabetic condition. We had to leave that hospital, since they wanted to charge us for an ambulance trip to Pensacola FL, I drove faster and called the police depts ahead of my way and had no problem the entire way speeding very quickly, and she was treated immediately at the Pensacola Sacred Heart Hospital. I will not return to Andalusia Hospital unless I have NO options.
