Went to Tennova ER twice within a 5 day period for the same symptoms. I was having severe migraines,
unable to eat or drink because it would come back up and stiffness in my neck and back. First time (8/29/2018) no tests were done, they touched my head and neck and said it was a sinusitis and meningitis had not set in. Was put on IV and given pain meds. Went in the second time (9/2/2018) because symptoms were getting worse and waited in the ER waiting room for 4 hours before being called back. A CAT scan was done, put on IV and given pain meds. My fiance asked on multiple occasions to test for meningitis. His request went ignored. On 9/7/2018 we ended up in an ER in another state mostly for the same symptoms but it had escalated to unresponsiveness and body convulsing. That ER done a CAT scan, MRI, EKG and spinal tap. They found out that I did in fact have viral meningitis. I was admitted for 3 days and released with an antibiotic, pain and nausea meds. After following up with my PCP, he said I was lucky. I reached out to the Tennova ER requesting my $200 copay per visit (I was told you have to pay or you can't leave) to be refunded for misdiagnosis. Offered to give them all the paperwork from the out of state hospital showing tests that were done, meds that were given and diagnosis, they refused the paperwork. They have denied me this and state they took the appropriate actions. Still waiting for Dr Troy Harris to call me back. If I could give zero stars I would. Not even worth the 1 star given.
