One of the last few good home-made breakfast and lunch places. Open only from 7:00 to 3:00 p.m., no dinners. This place gets packed on the weekends, and you'll have to wait during cold days and especially when the power goes out in other places. Nothing fancy here, just gobs of comfort food that never goes out of style: hash browns, pancakes, eggs, omelettes, grilled sandwiches, egg scrambles, French toast, bacon, sausage, ham, etc. Don't come here for a salad or soup. Spacious dining room and great waitresses. Recommended is the hog omelette: ham, bacon and sausage with crispy hashbrowns. Stricker's uses Daly's center-cut thick bacon, which is awesome. Even the cheeseburger is excellent. Room enough to handle parties of 30 if you call ahead.
