I went to the ER at this hospital out of concern for an infection that got out of hand.
Aside from the normal dismal setting of an ER I noticed that they didn't have very thorough forms to fill out. Understandably it is an ER however some places are more on the ball of getting as much information as possible to diagnose someone.
During my wait I saw someone who was waiting with a different patient making sure a man who was vomiting a lot had something to vomit in. (there was a fairly large puddle of vomit just before the door walking in.) I also noticed by filling out whatever form they had to fill out I set a trend for everyone else waiting to fill out a paper too. No one seemed to be making sure of this.

There was only maybe 5 people by the time they started letting people through. By then I had been waiting an hour.
The doctor I saw hardly looked at me, and walked off. No one was interested in history or why. I asked for blood work, something to be done to get a concrete view of what was going on. Most places this is routine. Most places this is normal, most places understand the importance and usefulness of blood work. A lot can be picked up and understood with a simple battery of tests that could end up being a good reference point in the future. Not this place, not at all. They discharged me so they could escort me out with security.
A blood culture would of let me know with more certainty that my infection has not spread into my bloodstream. Ironically I noticed they had a memo on the monitor at the check in station about sepsis, I wonder how many other people they have failed to do proper lab work on are suffering from something they could of avoided had normal tests been run after a visit at this ER.

My suggestion avoid this place, at least this shift.
