Colonial Penn's broadly televised advertisement targeted toward seniors is misleading. When you call the toll free number a sweet voiced "screener" takes your info and forwards it to a not so sweet voiced "rep" who tells you in no uncertain terms "insurance is not cheap".
The advertised $9.95 premium is a "hook", the rep informed me that a premium for a $5000 policy for a 64 year old female is $70 a month!
