I have had fond memories at Alkaff Mansion back when it was an Italian restaurant. Imagine my delight when they reopened with a pintxo bar concept. When we arrived at this spectacular property, front of house was nowhere to be seen to even show us to our table. Then we got to the seating area and the tables were bare- not even a table cloth in sight nor a tiny flower arrangement as centerpiece to show for. Most unfortunately as well when it came to ordering our food, we have had to keep repeating our food orders at least three times each time we placed an order.

Having said this, Alkaff Mansion is still as stunning as I remember, and the food, impeccable. I am also not discounting the effort that has gone into the upkeep of the property and the quality of their food. However , the service felt disjointed (given the ambience and food) and lackluster.
