I ve debated long and hard about this review, but feel 3 stars is justified.
First of all the staff are ultra friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Sometimes a little too much, but I guess the tourists round in Seminyak demand this.
The pool access room we booked was large, spacious and generally well appointed. However the pool itself was a pond in between the front of the hotel and the back of the hotel surrounded on 3 sides by 5 stories of hotel and the 4th a very large wall which meant that it only got sun between 11 and 1pm. On the ground floor which meant it was right next to the service areas full of noisy air con units and with lots of traffic. Once you get past the lobby the hotel is badly in need of refurbishment, with peeling paint and rusty flakes of metal littering the pool. The front pool is badly designed, difficult to get into and big enough for about 5 people, the entrance is badly designed and has a large number of stairs and looks like a car park. The hotel is in a reasonably good position along the beach, however it s quite far from any decent restaurants. The breakfasts were excellent however.
