So we just got back from KLCC and like one reviewer mentioned earlier, the crowd thronging the place is indeed checking out the equivalent of Eiffel Tower in Paris - proof of the Petronas Towers status as an iconic landmark of Kuala Lumpur!

It was also our first time up the Petronas Towers Observation Deck and Sky Bridge, considering we stay at the city of Petaling Jaya next door, and what a visit it was (paying Malaysian fees of MYR28 (adults) and MYR14 (children) in the process)...The views from the world s highest sky bridge (Level 42) were awesome and it was also an excellent place for nice selfies against the KL skyline and it s spectacular, modern skyscrapers.

But nothing beats the experience of being at the highest occupied floor of the Towers, which is Level 86 or 380m above ground... Despite a slight haze, we could view faraway places from here, including Resorts World Genting, Kajang to the south, and even the Paradigm Mall at our home of Kelana Jaya (17km to the west) - making this a place for some of the best views of Greater Kuala Lumpur, since it s actually higher than the neighboring KL Tower!

And considering we are locals (the majority of visitors to the Petronas Observation Deck were foreigners, actually), we still enjoyed browsing the cool souvenirs at the two gift shops (one at Level 83 - the transit point to the 86th floor top deck - and the other at ground), bringing back a nice pewter fridge magnet in the end!
