Bought my 2020 Ram Rebel in March. Noticed it had a rust problem shortly after. Contacted the dealership to try and remedy the issue. Was initially told it was normal, then was told by other workers that it wasn't normal. I worked with the service manager at the time, and it was a nightmare trying to get in contact with him, I had to reach out to the GM via email to finally get the service manager to return calls or emails. Finally after taking the truck back multiple times for them to "review" the truck and rust issue and not getting anywhere. I contacted FCA and opened a case with them. After opening the case, the dealership service manager started taking pictures to send to FCA. After MONTHS of going back and forth with the dealer and FCA, FCA calls and says they were going to do a one time good will swap of multiple parts that were rusted. I was told parts were ordered and waiting for them to arrive. A few days pass and I get a call from FCA saying they're only going to change the tailgate straps. I asked FCA why? Because the other rusted parts weren't causing any mechanical issues. Mind you, the tailgate straps are least of my concerns. And also, they are rusted like the other parts and not causing a mechanical issue. So why are we changing the tailgate straps and not anything else? Went the cheap route and not standing behind their vehicles. My radio went in for a recall, after performing the recall sirius XM would not play. Ended up being a radio issue and was eventually replaced. Once the radio was placed I was told everything was good to go. I got in the truck and tried using sirius XM radio channels. It wasn't setup, I had to call sirius XM to have the new radio id updated on my account. I then attempted to use my guardian services and my SoS button wouldn't work to call out. Called the dealership and let them know the issue. I brought it back in and left it for a day. Was told it was good and I just had to activate the service. Meanwhile I was already on the phone with guardian services and made sure everything was active and good on their end(total of hours on the phone with them). Took the truck back again and they finally figured out the issue... The dealership never performed the recall on the new radio. So they performed the recall and updated the software and now the radio finally works. Its amazing what you get for a $60K plus vehicle. And its great to know the people that sell you a vehicle won't stand behind their product or their word.
