As someone who has really enjoyed dining here over the years, I was very disappointed with my birthday lunch today. We had a reservation and arrived at the restaurant 15 minutes prior to opening/our reservation time. We were told by the host that we have to wait on the sidewalk which was obviously fine with us. During that time, many walk-ins arrived and waited out on the side walk as well. However, once the restaurant was open, the host began seating groups before us who we overheard did not have reservations. I then went up to the host to remind her that we have a reservation and she said "okay yes" but then for some reason went on to seat another couple who also did not have a booking! By the time the host got to seating us, all of the nice tables of two along the wall of the restaurant were full and we were sat on the road by the traffic. As a group who showed up before everyone else WITH A RESERVATION ON MY BIRTHDAY just to be seated almost last out of all the groups waiting, I was absolutely appalled. Our pastas were lukewarm. We didn't even bother to stay for dessert because it was just impossible to enjoy ourselves at this point. I am so embarrassed that I hyped up this restaurant to my guest only to have such a mediocre experience.
