Absolutely appalling visit. The check in process service was a shambles. We arrived at the hotel at 12:00, was told a room would be ready at 15:00. We returned to the reception desk (along with about 100 other people) to claim their awaited hotel room. After queuing for 25 minutes at the desk, we were told the room we booked wasn't available with no upgrades offered. After a heated debate a room was "found" for us and we were in a room around 16:00.

We got changed, headed to the pool, and was greeted by a sight more like something you expect to see at a Caravan site in Cleethorpes than Dubai.

We decided to head back to the room and order the children some food, it arrived 45 minutes later cold and tasteless.

Enough was enough, we checked out (the same day we checked in) and upon telling the lady on reception she wasn't shocked, didn't offer any refund for either the room or the half board. Neither of which had been used.

Awful for one of the most iconic hotels in Dubai!
