We used to love this company but I am sorry to say...

We used to love this company but I am sorry to say it has changed and we will never buy anything from them again. Our salons have a few of their devices and found that they have lied to us so many times, it is hard to understand how they are still in business.

Our most recent purchase was a dermal pen. We paid $2K and queried this with the sales person, because we saw the same one sold in China for $30 but their CEO Kane Hammond got on the phone and told me that theirs was a Swiss device and that the Chinese one I saw online was a cheap inferior version.

After having this pen for a short time, we needed to purchase another pack of disposable tips but were told they were out of stock but to sit tight because more were coming, The first time we were told they were held up in customs. We later found out this was not the case, the lies continued for 2 months with every excuse imaginable.

Eventually, I said I wanted a refund on the pen as it was the busiest time of year and we couldn't use their device. Because their delay tactics we kept having to re-book our clients appointments thinking they were coming and then nothing did so we would have cancel and postpone their bookings which made us look incompetent. This went on for 2 months!

I asked to speak to Kane their CEO, who dodged my staff for weeks. He was happy to take the call when he took our money but disappeared when being held to account. Shameful...

After refusing to refund our dermal pen, I found out that their pen and tips are not medically approved, this means that we were unknowingly jeopardising our business insurance if something went wrong! On top of this I was told their dermal pen was indeed a Chinese device, NOT Swiss. We can only guess now, that it is probably the Chinese pen that we saw for sale on Alibaba for $30, thats right $30 for a device that we paid $2000 + GST + Training costs for... It had become one lie after another.

Six months later with weeks of clients being booked and re-booked we stopped bothering with Global beauty and purchased another pen from a reputable company. The Global Beauty Group has now contacted us and offered a trade in for a new pen which is, wait for it, $4000 with a $2000 trade in. What a joke!

To boot we recently found out that their lovely staff that we have spoken to on the weekends for years don't actually get paid, they feel pressured to do do this to keep their jobs. Again this is plain shameful. It does explain why their staff leave so frequently, just when you get to know them you get some vague reason why they left.

It sounds like The Global Beauty Group is either poorly run and shonky, or in serious financial trouble. We are of the opinion that this company cannot be trusted and we'll never do business with them again in any of our salons. There seems to be NO accountability and NO integrity.
