If you're an actor/ actress, you know the "Bidness...

If you're an actor/ actress, you know the "Bidness" can be hard. Whether or not you audition on a regular basis, it sucks when you walk into a room full of frazzled actors as nervous as you, and get a really bad vibe from the people working there. Almost as if they begrudge your existence in their studio instead of being grateful they have hardworking performers who fight through hours of traffic on a weekly basis to come to them and give them the best they've got to keep said "bidness" running.

Such a unwelcome welcome is NOT what you'll find when you come here. At least, not from my experience. The people here were surprisingly warm from the moment I walked in, and that in turn carried over to the actors who were decidedly more at ease than in most other situations I've been in. The vibe is chill, and I kid you not, they offered me candy and beverages when I walked in. Not to mention they're situated, literally, next door to Coffee Commissary- which happens to serve some of the best java in LA.

I can't give specifics on my particular audition/ project, but I can say even the casting director and session runners were super sweet. Honestly, I wish all studios in LA were this great. Sure, it's a hard business. But it can be made so much more enjoyable and rewarding when people are nice to each other and genuinely want to help each other succeed. Wouldn't you agree?
