Nice airport and all. Arrival immigration usually really quick for flights arriving within the 7PM time zone/ range. 30- 60 minutes. Departure customs really long, plan on arriving 3 hours 30 minutes prior to departure. Also, this airport gets really scared at times. The day we
Left Shanghai, there was what they called a Typhoon, which was just really some rain. Well, apparently the entire airport runway activity was shut down. So, if the day you re leaving plans for some rain, moderately just forget it. You ll have maybe a 50/50 chance of a 90 minute delay.

Anyways, the terminals are better and more in the bright side, large and extensive, a bigger welcoming than Some other airports such as Newark Liberty International Airport Or LaGuardia, I guess I can t really make comparisons because of a different country, but Pudong Airport is definitely on the Brighter Side Of Airports. Not all trashy .
