I was surprised and disappointed. I went for one item, knew the aisle and Bay for said item and knew I could limit interaction by using self check out. Yet 3 employees, none of which were wearing masks, proceeded to be extra helpful by getting in my space and face to ask how I was/did I need help. I've worked retail and know that anticipating needs is a plus. But let's set an example, we're in a global pandemic where 1/3 of people are asymptomatic. Are your germs superior? I was surprised to see only one in six shoppers with a mask on, but again, I would hope the employees would be held to a higher standard. Masks don't protect you from the germs or virus, they protect others from your germs, let's be considerate. I wear a mask because I think of others, sad they won't. I'll return to Home Depot when the pandemic is over. Lowe's doesn't have self check out, but their employees are more considerate.
