Do not use ID Salon for bridal services. We booke...
Do not use ID Salon for bridal services. We booked months in advance explaining we do not need makeup done. My sister is a makeup artist and over and over we said we would be using her. We also explained we weren't sure how many people besides me, my daughter, and a friend needed hair services. They put down seven with a question mark. We had three. We were given a price list listing all of the bridal services including different hair and makeup services. Again, we said we didn't need makeup, just hair. Nicole understood and said she was listing them anyway. We were going during regular salon hours so no one was coming in special for our hair. This was basically a price list of services and a request for a deposit.
My daughter booked her trial, and her trial was done by a different stylist than the one doing her hair the day of her wedding. That made no sense. We had to go back for a second trial with the person who would be doing her hair. At the time, I booked two appointments for myself. One for highlights and one for a haircut. Numerous times we double checked our hair appointments for 11:00AM for the morning of her wedding. Every time we were told we had two hair appointments, no makeup. I should also add that not only did we never have a makeup trial, but we never had a consultation or met with the make-up artist since we had no need for makeup applications.
The morning of the wedding my daughter was taken when we arrived at 10:45. I was told my appointment was moved to 11:45 so that makeup could be done before a wash and blowout. I stressed we said no makeup, just hair but my appointment had been given away. The front desk called the makeup artist at 11:10 and she was still at home. She was allegedly doing makeup for me that I did not want at 11:00AM, and my daughter's at 12:30. Nothing made any sense. A stylist took me around 11:30 and blew out my hair. It wasn't exactly what I wanted but I did not have any choice. I called a few days later to see why everything was switched and Nicole came to the phone yelling at me saying I signed a contract and am lucky not to be charged for four other people and make up application. Again, we knew we would not have that many people and had no need for a makeup artist. Especially one who was extremely late and would be applying my makeup in 95 degree weather before my hair was done. No apologies from anyone, just yelling. I should have learned my lesson twelve years ago when we booked hair for my daughter's bat mitzvah. We had been using two specific stylists for years. We checked at every hair appointment that we had our appointments for the morning of her bat mitzvah. That morning, only Yvette showed up. Maria never came in. We had to have Yvette do both our hair in one appointment. Again, no explanation or apology. I took a break for many years, and stupidly gave them a second chance.
