I am so shocked at the way ORMC has gone to "Hell"...

I am so shocked at the way ORMC has gone to "Hell". I can't even rate you. I am a retired nurse - was in Trauma, Triage, Floors and then went into being a General Surgery Nurse. I am so disappointed in my hospital - it is lousy. The ER ( has all resident doctors) and nurses are rude - have an I don't care attitude - don't show any care for the patient or their needs. I have been in the ER many times since 2008. But in 2010 I developed A Fib - they gave me to much medication to bring my pressure down that I almost died. I coded but am back. I was in and out of the hospital with severe vomiting and diarrhea and was given scripts for antibiotics and they said I just had the flu, then I started coughing up blood and still had all the other problems - again sent home 4 more times and one wonderful doctor told me I had pneumonia and I was admitted and treated (she told me I probably got it at the hospital) but it got worse and caught full blown while in the other visits to the hospital.
I still have A Fib and finally in June 2018 my wonderful Cardiology doctors helped me - I had a stress test and cath and got 3 stents. Then as I was about to be discharged I went into A Fib and got a Pacemaker the next day. Finally after almost 2 weeks got to go home - but still was not feeling right and started getting nose bleeds and vomiting up blood ( was taken by ambulance several times (ER didn't seem like they cared) - but nobody seemed to care except for my husband, and the paramedics. On Oct. 25th, 2019 I was taken to the ER with bleeding nose - was there 12 hrs. - NO TREATMENT - sent me home with scripts - but after 12 Midnight no Pharmacies are open. Got up next morning Oct. 26, 2019 and again had a severe nose bleed and vomiting up black/red blood - ambulance took me to ER and on the way went into A Fib. Got there and same doctor I had seen in ER on the 25th was there, but didn't act like he knew me. They finally got my nose bleed and vomiting under control - and I was sent for observation and then admitted because of the high B/P. Was discharged on Oct. 31st, 2019 - still not feeling good.
Again on Jan. 15th, 2020 I again was taken to ER with nosebleed and A Fib - they stopped the nose bleed and sent me home. On Jan. 29th, 2020 I was taken to ER with a severe nose bleed and with my blood pressure high. Again they got the nose bleed stopped and sent me home.
I am sorry to say - that I have never gotten such bad attitude and service from the ER (were triage only has resident doctors or paramedics) - it wasn't like that when I worked there. The floor nurses are the worst (especially in the North Tower). The nurses act like they are there just doing a job and to get a paycheck - they don't care about the patients or their needs -
Going back to double rooms is the worst thing the hospital could have done - as patients like their privacy and you don't know what another person could have.
I was in Fla. Hosp. for all 5 of my back surgeries and was in each time for approx. 2-3 weeks - and never got better care - the doctors and nurses were wonderful - but I am saddened that ORMC does not give you that kind of care anymore. Your North Tower is the worst - those nurses need to go back to school and learn a good bedside manner.. Pharmacy is really bad and needs to be controlled better - it's not good when the Pharmacist accuses you of being an addict - because of the mediation you are on and does not follow protocol and contact the pain management doctor and refuses to give you your pain medication.
I hate to say it - but my beloved hospital has gone to "Hell" and I guess the money is more important than the treatment, concern for patient and their care.
Please help make my hospital care again. Thank you!!!
