On a busy day or holiday you better leave your house early enough to get to the parking lot at 8am. Otherwise plan on adding another 30 to 45 minutes to your drive. If you do get stuck in the long line of cars, plan on other vehicles cutting in line by passing you and flipping U turns. Also, don't park on the side of the road because you're sick of waiting in a line of cars. Today over 75 cars were towed from a certain section of road. Merry Christmas from snowbasin. It does say no parking, but after waiting in your car for over 30 minutes, people just start parking there. Parking lots are seldom sufficient on a crowded day. Ski patrollers are often rude and seem to profile younger snowboarders as reckless while permitting older skiers to ride just as reckless as snowboarders. You can't bring your own lunch into the lodge or in the premises of the patios. The food is overpriced. Day tickets will burn a hole through your wallet. While snow making is convenient, mixed with big crowds certain patches on runs get very icy. I've had a season pass to this mountain for a decade. The mountain great, it's steep, vast, and the lifts give you access to plenty of untouched. But other than that... don't go on busy days.
