After several visits over the years, Cedar point sits at 3 stars for me. First of all, and most importantly, the roller coasters are the BEST. Cedar point really has the most intense safe experiences that you can have. The Millennium Force, the Maverick, and the MaXair are my favorites, and the kind of thing that you have to try once in your life!

But... in recent years, it seems harder and harder to have a good time at Cedar Point... Even when the weather isn t causing ride closures, there are just TOO MANY PEOPLE allowed in on general admission. I always thought that Cedar Point was worth visiting once in a while with friends even if lines for major coaster s had wait times of over 2 hours. It was worth it for the experience, and you could still manage to ride most of the major coasters in a day. This last time I went, OCT. 12, 2019, we were in the park from 11:30 AM to 10:30 PM, and we rode ONE major coaster... the Rougarou... not even one of the greats. Even with haunted houses and fright zones open throughout the park, it seemed that there were NO real coasters below 2 hours of wait, and some were above 4 hours of wait. There was just no way for most of the customers to enjoy themselves with the rides... As far as I can tell, this is how Cedar Point intends to work:

- More people means more MONEY$ so there we are never at max capacity no matter how miserable everyone is.

- You can totally ride the coasters IF you pay for the Fast Lane. Everyone else is entitled to 1(one) major coaster ride per visit. (The Fast Lane is secretly not a special treat you pay for, the Fast Lane is the real general admission .)

- Refreshments are mandatory, priced for maximum profit possible per unit, and require standing in long lines.

- We have the biggest coasters for hundreds of miles. Pay $100 per guest or die for all we care.

Cedar Point has SUCH POTENTIAL! It s such a disappointment that it is managed like a scam.

Final note: Everyone in my group thought the act that involved POLE DANCING on the main stage was inappropriate. There were children of all ages present, and while there was no stripping off of clothes that we saw, the performance was deliberately and overtly sexual.
