The only thing good about this Shelter is it is a no kill shelter. Unfortunately those running it have zero problem wasting the time & money of those seeking to adopt! We came all the way from Gray Summit to meet a dog we were interested in giving a forever home to & then to the Foster home to spend a bit more time with her. The Foster parents were wonderful! We wasted our time filling out an adoption app when all the while the Shelter volunteers KNEW someone else had already met the dog & started the adoption process! We will not be returning to 5 acres again! At least at the Humane Society they have enough common courtesy to inform potential adopters that others are ahead of you in the process! The way we were dealt with was deceitful!!
