I have been to this venue to see the Mavericks. I recently saw them here, and they sounded amazing, as usual. I love that it is an open air venue, BUT as a handicapped individual, I wish Indian Ranch would improve the handicapped seating section.
The fold down seats themselves are so low to the ground, very uncomfortable even sitting on the pillow I brought. They are lower than ADA minimum of 16".
Also, from the handicapped seating section, between people standing in seats in orchestra section & the constant flow of people walking by, I couldn't see the band. I can't stand for more than a few minutes without pain. If the HC section was raised or re-located to the front or side stage, like other venues, the disabled person could SEE the show. I would love for an employee of Indian ranch to sit in one of the HC section chairs, during a show to see what it is like.
My seat was the seat closest to the aisle. Several times my left prosthetic leg was accidentally & painfully kicked by the constant flow of people walking up the aisle.
Please find a way to make the concert experience as good for handicapped people as it is for people who are able to stand & see the show. Thank you!
