The arch makes the St. Louis skyline appear more aesthetic! There is a tram which takes you to the top of the arch to a viewing gallery from where you can get a bird's eye view of the city. The mechanism used by the tram to travel along the curved arch is very innovative! The viewing gallery at the top can get very crowded and hot, so I recommend don't wear warm clothes while going to the top.
