Considered one of the 5 best acoustics in the world, the Colon Theater has a capacity for 2700 people. The first three floors are decorated with sound absorbing materials: wood, fabric, carpet (and have the most expensive seats along with the front half of the front). The upper 3 floors, on the other hand, have cold materials: marble, iron and bronze. This combination all favors the sound repercussion. In addition, the grilles below the chairs also have an acoustic function. Below the floor is hollow, and in this way the grill set plus the hollow floor works like a guitar.
