Went to the zoo today with my partner. We love animals so always tend to find local zoos when away. Due to the time of the year it was nice and quiet, easy to enjoy without too many people around/in the way.
We read the reviews before we went and despite a lot of reviews saying cages are too small and animals aren t looked after, I didn t agree with this at all. All the animals seemed to have a lot of space and looked well looked after.
I agree, there isn t a lot of staff about but that s likely just the time of the year! Most of the ice cream shops in picnic areas were closed but I feel as though they didn t need to be open as there wasn t enough customers around.
There is a good gift shop at the end and a cafe and sandwich shop.
Prices were reasonable ( 16 per adult) for the stay, we stayed for a couple of hours seeing all the animals.
Highly recommend if staying in Rome!
