In my opinion, this is one of the best Boy Scout camps in Ohio. The scenery throughout the camp is beautiful. Staff is so kind and great with young kids (I mean there job is to work with kids), and stations/areas are amazing. The way that the program is run is so amazing, it gets the scouts envolved in everything. For example, on wednesday night (AKA parent night), all troops have to get up in front of everyone in the outdoor ampitheater and preform a skit. So many merit badges can be earned, so many awards too. Also, this camp offers the Foothills program (Huh!) where new scouts or low rank scouts can buzz through requirments needed for Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, and some First Class! The Frontiersman Program (Grr!) offers an incentive (Bear Claws!) for learning outdoor survival skills, and spending a night on the Rendezvous. Lastly, I personally have so many memories at this camp. From getting to see my older brother (a waterfront staffer) throughout the week, to meeting new friends (both scouts and staff). This camp is an amazing place to go to, work at, or just explore. I highly reccomend taking scouts to this camp before it could potentially shut down in a few years!
