"Overrated, Under-delivered"

Our family of 2 kids and 2 adults stayed at Beaches Ocho Rios June 2015. The hotel is mediocre while charging a top price. Basically they offer a lot of services and activities but lack basic professionalism and responsiveness expected at a nice resort. The price is double what it is worth. Our key complaints are: 1) 1 hour wait time for food in restaurants, 2) tried to trick me to switch to a worse room calling it an upgrade (at no discount), 3) BBQ Grill served plain chicken with goop on it and called it jerk chicken (a travesty to Jamaican cuisine), 4) did not pick up bags upon request on departure day, 5) flooding in our room from neighbor s toilet, 6) error on food allergens, 7) had over a dozen other complaints
