My brother was on the mental health ward and was disrespected in many ways. His arm band had the incorrect PHI and it was uncorrected, however they did finally give him his medication after 24 plus hours with the wrong information on the arm band. Clearly a HIPAA violation and a compliance issue. He spoke with several of the staff members to no avail. He was Also not given his C-pap to sleep. And his clothing was withheld for 48 hours. When he ask the young tech about his arm band she rudely referred him to another individual and insisted that "They put on the band what you told them to." As well as stated " that she was not going to allow the patients to get on her nerves today."

Working in healthcare I find this to be deplorable. I called and was misdirected and told to call another number not connected. And received a voicemail. I am currently still waiting for a call back.
