FRUSTRATING, that's how I would describe my experience while visiting Atlanta for the 2016 Big South Volleyball Tournament. Yesterday morning, Easter Sunday!! because of a tight game schedule and while eating /picking up breakfast for my daughter at Waffle House (corner of John Wesley Dobbs Ave. and Courtland St.) I parked my car in one of the readily available parking lots (less than 10 parked vehicles out of the 78 parking lots this 3-lot parking area has). Unfortunately (at least for me and my wallet) I did not realized that the station where you're supposed to buy the parking ticket was intended to cover all three parking lots, even though the machine is located in one of them (and there were no signs or instructions for the other two lots, of course). Easter Sunday, almost empty area/parking lots, who would've think a guy (with no mercy nor intentions to offer any information on how the parking system works in ATL) would come to your car and attach a boot (and for the reviewer who wrote "they're just employees doing their jobs...": there are just jobs where you don't have to promote scamming people!!!). Since I saw the guy booting my car, I approached him and instructed him about my ignorance, with a "Walking Dead Face" he just offered me to pay the $75 fine right away, Credit Card or CASH..., hum... CASH? (how the city / company would keep track of a CASH transaction?)
To the Major or pertinent ruling agency: there are no appropriate signs on these parking lots, and those in place are misleading. This should be corrected, is going to save tourists a bad experience and of course, will make you look better for the next elections!
To the Company: easy money dirty sucking system you have in place!
This is my first visit to Atlanta and hopefully my last one!
