Review of ESPA at Vdara

I just stayed at Vdara, and had the chance to go to ESPA after a hard day of work. I have been here a few times, and it is different every time I come. I always enjoy the meditation room, it is very low key, relaxing, and I love listening to the running water. The whole spa is very low key, and never crowded. There is a good sized workout area, with all the necessary equipment to get in a typical workout. I booked an 80 minute deep tissue sports therapy massage this time. The massage was just average. I was pretty sore from my previous day workout, and walking 7 miles for work today. I was hoping the massage would help fix some of my soreness. Unfortunately, the girl that did my massage was a bit lazy. It was not deep tissue at all, and I could hardly feel it because she was so light on my legs. (Even after requesting deeper pressure) The cost was $300, plus their mandatory 18 percent tip. Bad value in my opinion. The spa staff was professional and somewhat attentive. Untimately, I was able to relax and enjoy the hot tub, steam room, meditation room and sauna. They had a wide variety of drinks, and fruit, also provided razors, and all the typical stuff at spas. Not sure I would do a $300 massage again. They charge somewhere around $70 to come use the facilities, which is probably a bit over priced also.
