My experience here was a mix of highs and lows. The Shrimp and Crab Louie was the perfect choice for an appetizer/salad. The Porterhouse for Two was disappointing. Accurately described by our waiter as one side loin and the other strip, the strip side was very tough. I hate to have to politely spit out grizzle and pile it neatly on the side of my plate. Forget the Porterhouse and try the Delmonico. The Loaded Hash Browns were very good as were the medley of Mushroom and Onions, but the Roasted Brussels Sprouts were tough. The cores were not trimmed (which is something I always do) and they lacked any of that bacon and roasted flavor you look for.The service was very good but almost bordered on annoying. When ask how our dinner was I told them about the lack of preparation on the Sprouts and the grizzle. I did say it was more a matter of my choice of cut than poor quality. He responded with, "Ohh, ok." which did not convince me that the head chief of the kitchen would ever receive our comments. There was no choice of type of roast for the after dinner coffee ( I favor dark roast), but the very good Carrot Cake made up for this. I don't think I'll rush back, especially with many other choices for a good steak here in Philadelphia.
