I experienced consistently poor service at the Ridge Ave Pep Boys. Most recently I paid out of pocket to have my vehicle towed to this location after my car failed to start. I could tell from the sound that the starter failed and told this to the service agent when I brought it in. Their mechanic insisted that the car s security system was preventing the start, failing to realize that the red key light on the dash would blink if that was the case. When I attempted to explain that this was not the issue, they just cut me off, said they wouldn t look at it and that I should just bring it to the dealer. I had to pay for the towing a second time to get it to the dealer where they found that it was the starter all along.
My family has been going to this shop for years. This was the last straw for me.
