Upon pulling up to the entrance of the hotel, after a short drive up the hill from downtown Banff, I was greeted by the friendly (-and very fancily dressed-) valet, who was immediately very helpful with my various questions - This enthusiastic welcome was mirrored by the check-in staff at the front desk; I was impressed by the rustic -and yet, lush- look of the foyer, which offered a very inviting seating area and restaurant overlooking the wonderfully scenic view (complete with balcony seating, as I discovered the following morning); My hotel room was a very comfortable size (-especially as it was just myself, staying the night), with all of the amenities one would expect; I was once again quite taken by the view from the room, which overlooked an unexpectedly deep ravine, with the hotel surprisingly spanning many stories downward- a design which I hadn't really considered, until recalling the somewhat lower-than-expected height of the hotel, at first sight; I was only briefly working at the hotel for one night, and I wasn't in a position to stay very long the next morning (-though, I did feel the need to take advantage of the extended checkout option, as the bed was just way too comfortable, to not do so...); I would definitely recommend the Rimrock for a "spoil-yourselves" getaway, and I hope to return soon.
