You go to a restaurant for two reasons, service, and good food. The food at Surf is good, but it is expensive. With expensive food, the service should be excellent, it was not. I have eaten there three times, the food and service was great on two occasions and terrible on one. Long waits, cold fried clams. and cold mashed potatoes. Our wine was served after our main course was half eaten. Waitress was either overextended or did not care. Really, when you order a fried clam appetizer and it arrives cold and the price is almost double what another restaurant charges you do not walk away happy. My last visit was Monday 9/14/2015
