As always this place never ceases to amaze. I did not go to the paid for section as the line was too long but I am sure it was worth the wait. Rather ventured around the expansive venue, which avails a plethora of art from different periods and genres. I m not a huge art buff, however whenever I go to the NGV I m never anything short of impressed, it s fun and interactive at times, and somber and reflective at others - which I assume is the ideal compromise for a gallery. I would definitely recommend going, but I m sure most of you probably have, but if you re visiting Melbourne, definitely plan a trip to the NGV.
