My child temporarily lived with his grandparents. I gave his grandparents temporary guardianship so they could enroll him in school and get him to doctor visits. I still have full sole/legal custody of my son. The doctor would not call me to consult with me, gave him lithium and depakote without my concent among other things. I called daily and the nurses where extremely rude. One nurse snapped at me What do you wanna know ? My son called around day 2 and asked if I heard he had passed out and that his blood pressure got dangerously low. I had not been informed. I called to ask the nurse about it and she said basically he was lieing and that he got a little dizzy from the meds. I again let her know I did not want my son on these meds. She said she would get back to me, never did. I called another time and when I said who I was the nurse hung up on me. My son asked the doctor several times to call me and he told him no because I wasn t his guardian. I called several times asking if I could get a fax to send my legal documents...never got a fax number. This is 5rh day there and he calls me and tells me he thinks he has a kidney stone and the nurse don t care. My mother in law went to check on him and the nurse did not care that he was in pain and blew her off. While she was there she saw a group of kids tackle another kid and they were not compassionate at all. She said they were very quick to medicate. My son was normal sounding the first day he was there...by the last day he sounds sedated, scared, and paranoid! He has called me one minute in a daze, the next freaking out and crying. Way out of character. When my mother tried to tell doctor that his personal therapist didn t think My son should be medicated he made it sound like the therapist didn t know what he was talking about even though this therapist has know my son for years! These people do not care! Keep your kids far far away!
