This would have to be the worst hotel in Denarau. I have stayed at every other resort in Denarau so thought I would give Sofitel a try. The rooms are old and tired, the grounds are bland and the customer service is well below average. I checked into my room and didn't like it to so decided to change hotels. The Duty manager at the time named JOE tried to make our departure as difficult as possible to the point where we said if he didn't approve our refund we would get it reversed on our credit card. He finally agreed but would not give us anything in writing so we took his word for it. We then moved to the Sheraton were we had an incredibly stay. On our return we chased up our refund and the manager (Joe) openly lied about the conversation we had and denied that he said he was going to approve the refund. I expect more from Sofitel and a hotel is a reflection of its staff. This manager should not be in his role. He was uncommitted to his job and it showed in every aspect of our short stay at Sofitel. Do not waste your time or money here. Stay at the Sheraton which is a much better hotel.
