My team and I shot video at Camp Pinecliffe for 5 days in the summer of 2018. As a video producer you get a behind the scenes perspective of a camp and you get to know directors, staff, and campers through hours of interviews and also through immersing yourself into the camp activities. I know I speak for our whole team when I say it was an unforgettable experience. The setting is beautiful and the facility is rustic but impeccably maintained. The staff that we met expressed great care for the campers and had great skill at their jobs.
However the best way to evaluate a camp is to talk to and watch the campers in action. The Pinecliffe campers were some of the most joyful and engaged campers we have ever seen. Challenging themselves daily, supporting each other, sharing in the experience of a community, and participating in traditions that have endured for over 100 years. We left after our week of shooting video with a sense of awe and gratitude for having been a part of this experience.
