Leaving a 1 star review just to balance out all the fake 5 start reviews. Look at the reviewers. How many people have reviews for this place and apartments in Illinois in the same month?

First off, I'll say that Maria and Sam in the office are extremely friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to be of assistance.
From there, it's all down hill. Dumpsters constantly overflowing with trash (I've only posted a few pictures of the many that I took.) Everything is outdated and run down. There were 2 police standoffs while we lived there, one of which resulted in a death. Dog poop all over the sidewalks that never gets cleaned up. Children running around screaming in the parking lot. Lots of fake reviews on Yelp and Google as well. The office manager posted a 5 star review herself. Seems a bit unethical but it's par for the course. Speaking of the office manager, when I mentioned upon first moving in that the door and door jam looked as though there was a break in attempt and it wasn't safe, she replied with "Well, we can't replace the whole door." Yep. That's the kinda place this is.
Look at the vacancies they currently have. 20+ 2 bedroom townhouses currently available. There's a reason for it.

EDIT: As you can see, tons of ratings flood in at the same time and they're all 5 stars and if a review is left, it's the same generic thing.

I will give this Apartment a 4 Star review based from my experience.

Pros:
~ Very welcoming staff. They are all patient and will answer all your questions that you may have about the unit you are interested in.
~ Very clean environment. Basketball Court, Multiple swimming pools, Fitness Gym, Billiards Pool table, Winery room, Relaxation lobby, basically everything you can think of when you hear the word "Luxury".
~ Smooth Tour Visits. When my Fiance and I scheduled a last minute tour towards the unit we were interested in, we didn't feel rushed. We took our time and the tour staff worker didn't complain at all.
~ Huge parking lot. No extra fee if you have more than 1 car unlike other apartments.
~ Dog friendly. Friendly community in general.
~ Nearby Hwy 101, SR-121, SR-116, and grocery superstores and restaurants, gas stations, etc.
~ Low Crime Rate
~ Strict Apartment Community, open entrance, no gate access.
~ The Staff worker that communicated with me throughout the whole process is Yesenia. She is very patient and respectful. I give her a 5 star for her awesome communication, through the phone and emails.

Cons:
~ Advanced Security Deposit. Unlike other apartments, they don't ask for the security deposit until you have been approved as a tenant to rent their unit. The Vineyard Luxury Apartments will ask for security deposit of $500 at the end of your online application, it will be the last step. The only downfall of that is you have to gamble your chances of getting approved and you can't secure that feeling that you'll get the unit you want just because you have money ready for the deposit.
~ Don't expect to move in the date you want to move in. I applied March 11, 2021. I found out the results of my application March 18, 2021. They are a very busy and hardworking company, so don't expect to move in so fast.
~ Credit Score + High Income. If you have evictions, bankruptcies, no credit score, bad credit such as you had a identity theft on your credit and it's not your fault, don't expect a good answer once your application is processed. For income, as a tenant, you need 3.25x more of the monthly payment of the rent to qualify as a tenant. For a Guarantor/Co-signer, you'll need 5x more of the monthly payment of the rent. It really blows that there are lots of applicants out there that has money saved up, cash ready, bank account ready, to rent a unit, but has a bad credit score, no credit score, credit score affected by the crisis of Covid-19, and they don't get qualified. It's really unfair.
~No matter how hard you push your application if you do have bad credit score and give them the documents they need to process, don't do it. Look for another apartment that waivers bad credit applicants.

Advice for applicants: This is a high level apartment complex. It is a really beautiful apartment complex to live in. But to live in here, you need both a high income and good credit score and credit history. Good luck!

It's clear that each member of the staff takes pride in making this a happy place to live for all the residents. I've been especially impressed at how quickly, professionally, and neatly any maintenance concerns are handled.

I m on my last 2 weeks here. I should have received a prorated bill for June rent, but I was billed for the entire month. I paid them by check
for 21 days. They show my account as having a balance due and after a week of trying to get the office to correct this, it s still the same. Very unprofessional. All I will say is businesses expect people to pay promptly and follow their rules but they have a responsibility to be professional and resolve tenants concerns quickly and with good communication.
