While I was treated fairly well overall, I was informed when asking about an update to mmi that would allow it to work properly with modern devices that it was covered under warranty. When I set aside the several hours for the update, I was called 1:40 through a 2 hour expected appointment to be told that it wasn't covered and I would need to be billed. This ridiculous nickel and diming is indicative of the lack of courtesy shown to audio owners.
Edit: The service staff did contact me in an attempt to make up for my poor experience. They had someone come to my home and trade out my vehicle so that the service can be performed. Their response is highly admirable and they truly did seem to want to do anything they could to ameliorate the situation. While this definitely took the bitterness out of the experience, I am still frustrated that a software update is not included in warranty service. This issue has to do more with Audi corporate than any individual dealership, I'm afraid.
