Sparkstone is a completely dishonest company. I have been working for a small buisness in UK that has been using software provided by Sparkstone since 2014. We have poured in thousands and thousands of pounds in set up fees, annual license fees and upgrade fees. The last week has been one of the worst and most stressful weeks we have experienced due to the extortion tactics used by employees of sparkstone. Since we paid our initial set up fee in 2014 we have had major issues with the software and have asked over and over for patches for fixes so that our daily tasks can be completed appropriately. A few examples include simple normal tasks like stock takes, marginal tax settlements, printers connecting to the software appropriately. Our annual license for 2020 has come up and we have asked for these fixes and Sam Hornett at Sparkstone has invoiced us over 800 pounds to look at the problems , as well is invoicing 800 pounds for a mandatory non-requested upgrade along with the normal 750 pound annual license fee. These are huge costs for a small buisness to run. Sam knows that we are reliant on the software. We are reliant on the software because we have invested so much into it and it is essential to our daily function. When we expressed our concerns Sam has told us to go find a new EPOS system. There is no loyalty or customer service for a consumer who has had a long term relationship with Sparkstone. I have no words to describe how upsetting and stressful this situation has been to us as a buisness. We are now faced with either giving into to the crazy costs and not having our huge problems solved or finding a completely new system. And honestly with the way we've been treated I would rather go through the process of redeveloping our epos system then give a penny more to Sparkstone. Have never been treated worse by a company ever. Its unbelievable that their allowed to practice in the UK. I highly reccomend you stay as far away as possible from Sparkstone and save yourself the grief and a lot of money.
