Kaj Branzell Review of Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur
Dear Sir, Madam
Dear Sir, Madam
We are regularly traveling with our dog from Arlanda Airport, Sweden to Nice Airport. However, the transport of our dog from the aircraft to the airport is not satisfactory. The flight company (Norwegian) is responsible for the animal until the aircraft has landed. Then the dog is your responsibility until we owners take care of it.
Why is not the transport satisfactory?
Because your personnel is negligent in handling dogs. Rules in handling dogs are not adhered to. Animals are not supposed to be liable to any risques whatsoever. Which they are at your airport.
Occasionally, cages have been dropped from the transports between the aircraft and the airport.
Always you put the cage with the dog on the travelators used for special luggage. I've seen the frightened look of our dog when the cage moves on the travelator. You stop it for some seconds - but not enough to enable us to take care of cage and animal. The travelator then continues and the cage with the dog may fall down at the platform at the end of the travelator. Where the cage might turn over and our dog is frightened for the rest of her life. No one of your personnel is observing the cage on the travelator. in order to make sure that everything is allright. No one takes care to check whether the owner has time to take care of the dog before you push the button again. Or is it automatic? Even worse!.
This is not okay!!!
At Arlanda, the owner of the dog is able to get the animal in a sort of door lock. The door opens and the cage is inside on the floor.
We will land at your airport with our dog Friday 14th at 12:40 Terminal 1 with DY 4321.
We will not that our dog is subject to the above.
