I was scheduled for a colonoscopy at Community Medical Center in November. I arranged for a car service, that I've used before, to provide transportation to and from the appointment. During the pre-admission phone call, 2 days prior, the subject of transportation was raised. The person I was speaking to checked with the supervisor in the out patient department and he indicated that a car service is not acceptable.
Knowing that I could not drive from the appointment, It was the only method of transportation that I had. Angels of mercy they ARE NOT.
So, now I need to search for a hospital, on my medical plan, that will honor my needs.
