Vickey Pearlman Review of LEGOLAND Windsor

We go on a big trip to legoland every other year. 4 coaches of rainbows, Brownies, Guides, rangers and their leaders. This is the first time we have been unhappy. Two leaders had mobility problems including myself with a scooter. (Previous visits were when our health was much better). We had to queue for an hour just to get a wheelchair pass for some of the rides. Ironically the place you get this from is not suitable for wheelchairs or scooters. The barriers for queuing are too close together and there is just no room when you get in there. We went round in small groups of about 4 and in the entire day every group managed 3 or 4 rides. Several rides were closed one minute then open then closed again. The worst being the hill train leaving myself stuck at the bottom. (Although it was worse for those stuck on it). We asked an advisor how to get back up to the entrance as we had tried one slope which the scooter could not cope with. We was directed to another which was just as steep. We had managed to get back up thank to the kindness of strangers pushing the scooter and myself struggling walking up. We was quite late back to the coach despite giving ourselves over half hour to get back. In the end we did not need the wheelchair pass as there are only 4 rides that you need them for and they were either not running or we did not get to them. Other leaders and parents had other issues and decided it was not as fun as previous times due to lots of things. (All previous visits it had rained too)
