Review of Longhurst Housing
Pensions Left now with No t.v to watch. Alone quite House.
Ok will try to keep this short. My parents which are pensioners Have been renters in there current home for 15 years or more. The landlords have done silly things in the past like sending out a electrician for a job which then they have to wait again for a plumber. So left without hot water for days or weeks. This is what has now got me so upset with them. On 24th December 2022 there aerial had broken from its bracket and was hanging lose swinging about. As this is a communal aerial and feeds more than one flat it is the landlords. They called and Longhurst sent out a Plummer with some carpet tape with no ladder. So nothing could be done. Now we get to early January 2023 more people sent out and nothing done. The phone number they were using was costing them a small fortune. Later they have been given a 0800 number. Many calls a given the runaround nothing getting done until Saturday 25th February 2023. Two men came out from the landlord and just cut the aerial and left it out side. So since 25th February two pensioners have been left with no T.V . So have been left sitting there with no comfiting t.v to Watch this is appalling. To be treating two people in there twilight years like this. All they get now from Longhurst now . We have called & email the Aerial contractor they have not got back to us. This is the same story they have been getting from early January. Why will they not get someone else to do the job. I would pay and get this done for them but as it's rented and a communal aerial. I would get in trouble if I did so according to the contract. Which it does say it should take for a job like this 28 days. Its now over double that. Shame on Longhurst leaving to pensioner's sitting there with no comfit T.V to watch.
