It is rare to have a car buying experience that is truly exceptional. After months of searching for the right SUV, that is what happened to my wife and I at Toyota of Carlsbad. It started with Duff Joy giving us accurate information over emails about their inventory and pricing. This included giving us a rough estimate of our trade-in just using pictures we sent him and a description of the vehicles condition. This was very helpful in this time of COVID to limit how much driving around we were doing.
We finally drove down to Toyota Carlsbad to drive the Highlander that my wife had chosen. Duff was knowledgeable about the vehicle and very professional. We decided to purchase the vehicle. The entire team at Toyota of Carlsbad was professional and courteous. They were able to give us more for our Lexus trade in than we expected. They also gave us a very fair price in the Highlander.
What turned this already good experience into something exceptional, happened at the very end. We went to get inside of our new Highlander and it turned out we had chosen the wrong one ( totally our fault - we needed the second row bench seat) Duff, Scott the sales manager, and Aaron in finance did not blink and eye but quickly switched out the vehicle for the one we did want and adjusted all the paper work. They turned a frantic, scary moment into an exceptional experience. I would wholeheartedly and sincerely recommend Toyota Carlsbad to anyone looking to get a very personal and understanding car buying experience. You can tell that they really know how to treat their customers right. They did make getting our new Toyota easy. And yes.... my wife LOVES her new car! Thanks Duff and team!
