An excellent museum to explore all aspects of Virginia's history, including the negative aspects of slavery (a whipping post can be found.) It's presented in a way that is informative and in touch with the many nuances/peculiarities of the civil war and the early encounter with native Americans. Don't overlook this place if visiting this area.
