I've always loved Windber Hospital and have always...

I've always loved Windber Hospital and have always referred family and friends to their services and their doctors... so it saddens me to say that I will not be returning to their GYN practice. The practice has changed considerably thru the years, and not for the better.
I've been a patient at the GYN office for MANY years and have sadly seen the providers come and go.. specifically Dr Amy Anderson, whom I've followed for 20 years from Lee to Windber.
Just recently I had an appointment with a physician whom I've never met.. to discuss some concerns and to get an order for blood work. I wasn't impressed by this man AT ALL. I voiced my concerns and my reason for the visit, and he almost seemed ANNOYED that I was there. He really didnt seem to care very much about my concerns, but offered to give me an order for bloodwork and said he'd call me. Well.. it's been 2 weeks and I have yet to hear from him. Thankfully, i was able to get my results from the Quest Diagnostics site and had the Physicians Assistant who I work with, review the results with me!
Needless to say, I'll be calling UPMC Magee and following Dr Amy Anderson from this point on. She was a tremendous loss to the Windber community and if I have to travel to Ebensburg or Altoona to see her again, then that's what I will do.
