I've been to the church before and the preaching was very nice, I personally don't like the big churches because you don't get to really get to know people that much unless you're super involved, but my biggest disappointment would have to be when it comes to the youth services. This is something that I just don't seem to understand. I feel like church is a holy place where you're suppose to praise God and go to hear his word, however that is not the case for some of the youth's activities. I see videos of what goes on and it does not look like a church but more like a club, the temple of God should be respected, but instead non Christian music is played and dancing goes on. Even if the songs don't curse it's still not glorifying God. Church isn't a place to go dance and if this types of events are going to happen then at least do it outside of the temple. I'm sure God wouldn't be satisfied with people singing and dancing to music the world has to offer. Why not play Christian music in God's house? Why play songs that don't glorify his name? The speaking is just motivational and it doesn't show kids/ teenagers the importance of living a Godly life and the consequences that come with it. People should know that it is very easy to lose your salvation and these teenagers don't seem to care about the consequences of living a non Christian life style. There has to be a separation between church and the world, the people are never going to change because the church is giving them exactly what the world would. 1 Corinthians 10:21 says "you cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demonds too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's table and the table of demonds". In order to present the gospel to teens you don't have to bring the world to the church. Faith has a lot of money and resources, therefore they should be used to glorify God. I'm not saying that these events haven't had an effect on some teens, however I don't believe that it is respectful to have activities like these in God's holy house. My intention is not to criticize the church or anyone in it, but I believe that this is something that has to be addressed because even kids that don't have a personal relationship with God have noticed what is going on in the church.
God bless
